Love Food, Love Yourself: A Simple Guide to Women’s Nutrition
So I’ve done it. I’ve written my first book. It was almost a year in the making. I’ve always wanted to write books. I never wanted a big publisher - fame and money wasn’t the goal. Writing for me has always been deeply personal, so I simply wanted to create short books about topics that I care about that resonate with smaller audiences. This was also my first attempt at being more vulnerable.
As many of you know, in the last three years, I’ve learned to farm, renovate houses, raise livestock for meat, build soil health, hunt and so much more. It stuck with me, it felt right. So in year three, I started to write a book on nutrition, because all that I’ve learned about food, farming, and agriculture were at the heart of what being healthy meant.
Nutrition – the food that you put in your body to feed it – is a deeply personal choice. There is no one right way of eating. You don’t have to follow diets. You don’t have to deprive yourself. Here’s the book in a nutshell:
If you eat real food, your body ultimately balances itself out. Food isn’t complicated, how your body processes it isn’t complicated. It’s when we follow wellness trends, misinformed diets, and supposed experts that we become disconnected from our food and our bodies.
What You’ll Find In "Love Food, Love Yourself"
How often do you find yourself asking:
- How should I be eating?
- What should I be eating?
- Should I be following a diet?
- Should I eat plant-based?
- Should I eat vegan or vegetarian?
- Are sugar, caffeine and alcohol really that bad for me?
- What about supplements?
The questions surrounding your health and nutrition can be overwhelming, especially if you’re over 40 years old and your body is entering an entirely new season. Your body’s nutritional needs aren’t as complicated as the media, gurus, and influencers have made it.
